The Student Conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) is an international conference for conservation students and early career scientists who gather to present their research and learn from experts in the field.
The SCCS was originally started in 2001 by the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge, UK and SCCS 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the conference. SCCS Cambridge has hosted over 4,000 delegates from 136 countries worldwide, providing an impactful platform for the early career conservationists.
Besides Cambridge (UK), currently SCCS also takes place in Tihany (Hungary), Nordens Ark (Sweden), and outside Europe in Brisbane (Australia), Beijing (China), Bengaluru (India), and New York (USA).
In addition, the Italy chapter organizes Early Career Researcher conferences.
